The eighth entry in the long-running Mission Impossible franchise. Parts 7 and 8 were planned to be filmed in reverse. That changed after the 7th wrapped filming, as Tom Cruise had to leave to promote the Top Gun sequel, “Top Gun: Maverick (2022).” Followed by Mission Impossible (1996).
