Brazilian racing legend who won the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship three times
Scenario
A fictional miniseries based on the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva. The writers of this series have said they had some restrictions due to Senna’s family’s involvement in the production.
Honestly, the writing is the only minor issue in this otherwise fantastic drama
Senna’s early career races in England are set on a racetrack next to a mountain range. There are no mountains in England – especially Norfolk, which is famous for its flat landscape..
The superlatives used are frequent and exaggerated
I understand it’s a dramatization, but if I hear “miracle” again to describe driving, well.. Why did it also portray English F3 fans as bare-chested raging lunatics/animals?
The kind you’d find at the Oval or Lords
Anyone who was around at the time would tell you that reserved types supported and watched it (and still do). In the second episode there seemed to be quite an anti-English thread that just wasn’t there for Ayrton.
Why has Murray Walker also been relegated to such a small part?
He was well supported and was really appreciated for his skills on the right track. He was a personal friend of Ayrton’s but barely saw screen time.
