Julian Albans: I’m trying to fit in right now

Scenario

Struggling to adjust to a new school after being expelled for treating Auggie Pullman, Julian is visited by his grandmother and transformed by the story of his attempts to escape Nazi-occupied France during World War II. Originally scheduled for release on September 16, 2022, it was pushed back to October 14, 2022. Later that month, the film was quietly pulled from the schedule and pushed back to August 25, 2023 due to poor box office performance in Fall (2021) and rescheduled for an unspecified date from due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Grandmère mentions that Julian was expelled from Beecher Prep due to his bullying of Auggie in Wonder (2017). However, in this movie, Julian was never expelled from Beecher Prep for bullying Auggie. He was suspended for two days, and after finding out, his parents decided to withdraw him from school at the end of the school year.

It’s kind of been my motto since I left the old school. Grandma: What? Julian, you haven’t left your old school. You were expelled for being cruel to another boy. You know what I mean. If I’ve learned anything since then, it’s to mind your own business.

I was very impressed with the acting, especially among the younger roles

Miracle (2017) follows. It Can’t Be Wrong Written by Kim Gannon, Max Steiner Starring Vera Lynn. I went in with low expectations, but this movie absolutely blew me away! This movie was very fast paced and I found myself completely invested in the development of the main characters. The development was honest and meaningful, not just superficial or simply to advance the plot. The main theme of the story, human kindness, was well portrayed and even though we were given hints and foreshadowing, I was still surprised and heartbroken when the plot unfolded.

I hope this film touches you just as deeply

The emotional maturity of one of the characters surprised me. I did not expect this movie to affect me so emotionally. This is a must watch movie for everyone, young and old. No matter what your views, we must all be touched by the genuine and poignant kindness displayed so effectively in this story. I cried a lot after the movie, I felt deep pain from the hostility that prevails today.
